CVT Spirit Mountain Recap
We wrapped up the Core Values Tour last weekend at Spirit Mountain and it's gonna go down as one of the best contests I've been a part of. The crew at Spirit did a awesome job dialing in the set up for the 50+ riders taking part in the event. Ian Lundborg was out shooting photos all day and they're available to view or purchase on his website:

The intermediate division put in work all day. It's safe to say the future of snowboarding is in good hands.

Thanks to all of the riders, brands, and of course the core shops (Damage, TYSS, Zombie, and Cal Surf) for making this tour possible. The finals are at Trollhaugen on Saturday March 10th. If you made the cut, we'll see you there! If you didn't, you should still come hang out.

Chester Bowl Freestyle Friday
This Friday, Feb. 9th, Damage and Rome Snowboards are hosting Freestyle Friday at Chester. We'll have a fun course set up with some cool prizes (including a brand new board bag!) to give away to riders with the best style and trick selection. Registration is from 5-6 and the event kicks off at 6:15. We welcome riders of all ages and abilities so come out for a fun night of boarding under the lights!

Shop Storefront in 1962
This is what the Corner of Superior Street and 19th Avenue West looked like on January 17th, 1962 after a fire raged through the building. Residents of the top floors were forced outside where temperatures reached 30 below. Fortunately, there were only a few minor injuries and the top of building was demolished later that day.
What's left of the building still stands today! There are actually burn marks on some of the framework inside the shops. What was once a paint shop now houses Damage which is interesting after finding out what went down here over 50 years ago. There's your history lesson for the week.
